Victoria Seifert is an employed barrister, called to the Bar in 2002.
She has over 17 years’ experience in property litigation and housing law.

In particular she has experience in:

  • Service charges and management
  • Contested enfranchisement and lease renewals (including missing landlords and professional negligence claims)
  • Contested business tenancy renewals under s.25/26 of the 1954 Act
  • Forfeiture (both residential and commercial)
  • Adverse possession, encroachment and boundary disputes.
  • HMO licensing, notices and proceedings in the FTT
  • Nuisance and Statutory Nuisance under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
  • Harassment, unlawful eviction and anti-social behaviour
  • Humans Rights and the Equality Act 2010

She has retained her Higher Court advocacy rights and has represented clients in Magistrates Courts, the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), County Courts and the High Court, most recently in the High Court in the case of R (on the Application of Jaber Al Ali) v the London Borough of Brent [2018] EWHC 3634 (Admin).
She has contributed to Westlaw’s insight writing an article on “Notices to Quit”.
She is also an experienced trainer having provided internal training to local authority lawyers and officers on Common Property litigation Issues, Housing Disrepair, Tenancy rights and status, Anti-social behaviour and Licensing.
She was also speaker on Common Pitfalls and Practical Solutions in Enfranchisement Involving Missing or Deceased Freeholders at MBL Leasehold Enfranchisement 2016 Annual Conference on 17 March 2016
In addition, she acted as a Licensing Clerk for Harrow and Barnet Council for their licensing sub-committee panels.
